NOTICE OF THE TRANSFER OF THE INSURANCE BUSINESS OF AFRICAN RAINBOW LIFE COMPANY
LIMITED (REGISTRATION NUMBER 2018/329171/06) TO SAFRICAN INSURANCE COMPANY LIMITED
(REGISTRATION NUMBER: 1935/007463/06) IN TERMS OF SECTIONS 50 OF THE INSURANCE ACT
(PROPOSED TRANSFER)
Please take note that African Rainbow Life Insurance is in the process of merging its entire business with Safrican
Insurance Company (“SIC”), in terms of section 50 of the Insurance Act 18 of 2017 (“Insurance Act”). Your policy
will be transferred from African Rainbow Life to Safrican. This is a necessary step in the integration of Safrican and
African Rainbow Life Insurance, following the acquisition of African Rainbow Life Limited by The Sanlam Group in
November 2020.

Long Term insurance partner.
African Rainbow Life policies will form part of the policies to be transferred once approval by the Prudential Authority is granted in terms of section 50 of the Insurance Act and, your policy terms and conditions under the transferring policies will remain the same.
Following approval of the transfer by the regulator, Safrican Insurance Company shall be responsible for carrying
out all the obligations of African Rainbow Life that relate to your policy and you will be issued with new policy
documents, branded Safrican.
